Advisors from across the country gathered in San Diego May 30-June 2 for Circle of Champions, Waddell & Reed’s national education conference. More than 700 advisors participated in Circle this year, where they attended general sessions and workshops, networked and celebrated successes. Headlining the conference this year was a slate of nationally recognized speakers, including:
- Carl Richards - THE NEW YORK TIMES’ “SKETCH GUY” - Spoke about the importance of clear communication.
- Bert Jacobs - FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OPTIMIST OF LIFE IS GOOD® - Talked about the importance of optimism and how openness leads to greater success in professional – and personal – pursuits.
- Ed Slott - STAR OF NATIONALLY-AIRED PBS SPECIALS - Stressed the importance of building a retirement income strategies.
The conference gave advisors opportunity to learn about industry trends, explore new technologies, and participate in up-front discussions about practice management, business direction, the industry at large and company culture. They also took deep dives into financial planning topics and listened as experts from across the financial services industry discussed the marketplace and what we can expect from the economy going forward.
